12. Jonathan Coachman

Jonathan Coachman's many years serving as a backstage interviewer for WWE and later an announcer paid off when he was appointed to the position of interim Raw general manager in 2007. Unlike Mike Adamle, however, he was actually deserving of the honor.

By that point, Coachman already had experience running Raw as the executive assistant to Vince McMahon throughout 2006 and well into 2007. When McMahon was taken off TV in the exploding limousine angle that summer, Coachman took over for him and filled his shoes quite nicely.

He had a presence about him that immediately made him a lovable character, but when he wanted to elicit heat, no one was more effective in turning the crowd against them than The Coach. Although he was a heel authority figure, he wasn't drunk with power, nor was he overexposed on the program.

That said, he ran Raw at a time where it wasn't the least bit exciting, especially throughout the summer of 2007. The company was still trying to move past the Chris Benoit tragedy, so it wasn't too memorable a time in Raw's history. Thus, Coachman's Raw GM stint is largely forgotten.
