Ranking Every Hell In A Cell Match In WWE History - From Worst To Best

25. The Undertaker Vs. Kane

Earlier on, I alluded to the way that some of the Undertaker’s Cell matches may suffer from the fact that he’s had so many other classics over the years, and here we have another example of that.

Somewhat uneventful for a match of this type, the bulk of the drama was reserved for the finish. Kane’s attack on the referee would allow Paul Bearer to slip inside the Cell. Urn in hand, Bearer would then somehow use the object’s built-in flashlight (because apparently that's a thing) to blind the Deadman, before he watched on approvingly as Kane picked up the pieces and scored the decisive victory.

To be fair, that conclusion could have happened in any old match, and so the Cell stipulation felt a little unnecessary (again). In all honesty, it was probably just an attempt to distract us from the fact that these two had a combined age of 88 years old at the time, suggesting that this was never going to be the sprightliest of contests.
