Sami Callihan's 2020, for the most part, was excellent.

Losing the World Championship to Tessa Blanchard at Hard To Kill was absolutely the right call for his character at the time, while matches opposite Tommy Dreamer, Ken Shamrock, and Michael Elgin were all outstanding brawls. His alliance with Ken Shamrock that blossomed over the summer led them into a fantastic World Tag Team Championships match vs. The North, as was his World Championship bout with Eddie Edwards.

The only thing holding 'The Draw' down here is his rivalry against Rob Van Dam and Katie Forbes. It was atrocious from start to finish - the finishing piledriver to Forbes to end the feud couldn't have come any sooner. Thankfully, Callihan ended the year by fully reigniting his Eddie Edwards rivalry, something that defines Sami's Impact career. Now signed to a new two-year contract, Sami Callihan's 2021 desperately needs to avoid tedious feuds like the RVD one.
