Ranking Every Major CM Punk AEW Match - From Worst To Best
6. Vs MJF (Dynamite Feb 2, 2022)
Easily the most notable feud 'The Best in the World' was involved in during his short time as part of All Elite Wrestling - on-screen at least - CM Punk and MJF's outstanding rivalry from November 2021 to Revolution 2022 was up there as arguably the company's greatest to date.
After producing some of the most pulsating promo exchanges in AEW history on the mic and the Pinnacle getting involved in the rivals' increasingly personal battle, the bitter enemies would finally collide on February 2nd's Dynamite in Chicago.
In the wake of Punk dominating much of the pair's heated war in 'The Second City', though, Maxwell's subtle use of some wrist tape helped him shockingly steal a victory in Punk's own backyard.
The heat was real.
Bryce Remsberg catching the dastardly a-hole's tricks after the fact then kicked off a magnificent part II.
A battered and broken Punk, suffering from a ruined left arm and knee regularly targeted by the merciless Friedman throughout, dug down freakishly deep to overcome the current dirtiest player in the game - he even pulled out his Pepsi Plunge for the first time in 17 years, despite having destroyed his knee already.
The sensational spot still wasn't enough to get the job done, though. And a Punk at his babyface best was once again taken out by some world class rule breaking, with Wardlow sneakily handing MJF an astonishing Dynamite Diamond Ring victory in Chi-Town.
