Fast forward a year and a half, and 'The Voice of the Voiceless' was once again making a hotly anticipated return to action.

Only, instead of going one-on-one with one of AEW's hottest rising stars, this time a returning from injury/suspension CM Punk decided to join forces with his FTR pals in the first of many "Punk and friends" main events during the first-ever Collision.

And in the wake of a typically fiery and must-see promo opening from 'The Best in the World', CMFTR and the heel unit of Jay White, Juice Robinson, and Samoa Joe did not disappoint.

The United Center was rocking. The smallest taste of Joe and Punk resuming their historic rivalry with a few vicious chops and a particularly savage sleeper was enough to leave those in attendance erupting in their seats.

That, along with the slimy 'Switchblade's brutal grinding down of the babyfaces, Robinson being his usual outrageous self, and a scintillating FTR operating at the peak of their powers throughout, helped get this new AEW offering off to the most thrilling of starts.
