The Dudley Boyz had to pretend they were excited to announce that Ricochet is still tied to Monday Night Raw. Surely putting him back in the hunt on SmackDown would've been preferable. Hell, even sticking Rico on NXT's books as the sole main roster star going 'back to developmental' might've breathed new life into his run.

Ricochet hasn't been given much since excelling opposite Logan Paul at SummerSlam 2023. He works good matches, sure, but how many of them are truly memorable? If anyone needed a fresh start (and a proper feud or two), it was this high-flyer.
