Ranking Every Randy Orton Vs. Triple H WWE Match Ever

8. Judgment Day 2008

After the WWE Championship match between Randy Orton and Triple H on the April 28, 2008 edition of Raw ended in a "no contest" due to William Regal shutting the show down unexpectedly, a rematch was announced for the Judgment Day pay-per-view, this time inside a steel cage.

They followed the same formula that every set of superstars do whenever they battle in a steel cage matchup for the first half, but after getting those spots out of the way, Orton and HHH did their best to make this as memorable as possible by putting their bodies through the wringer.

Orton thrived in this environment because of how he didn't have to pin Triple H to get his belt back, but The Game thwarted all of his attempts to escape over the top of the structure or through the door. The crowd's unwavering support for Triple H throughout led him to smashing Orton's skull with a steel chair, connecting with the Pedigree, scoring the three count, and retaining his title.

The lack of that little extra spark kept this from being ranked higher. That's probably due to how it was clear that their feud was far from over and that more matches were inevitable.
