Ranking Every Randy Orton Vs. Triple H WWE Match Ever

7. Unforgiven 2004

Randy Orton reached the apex of his career earlier than anyone could have ever imagined when he won the World Heavyweight Championship at the age of 24 at SummerSlam 2004.

It wasn't long after that Triple H severed ties with his old Evolution running mate out of jealousy, because he had the title he himself once held for a record-setting 280 days. As one of the most ruthless wrestlers to ever step inside the squared circle, Triple H was willing to go to great lengths to get it back.

In retrospect, it's almost wrong that a babyface Orton would be defending his title against a heel Triple H, but they still somehow produced a quality contest. The constant interference from the rest of Evolution didn't help at all, but when it was up to Triple H and Orton to deliver, they did not disappoint.

As odd as it was for Orton's first world title reign to end so soon at the hands of HHH, it was likely for the best. The Legend Killer was drowning in the role because he was so ill-defined as a fan favorite and he was much more interesting in chase mode coming out of this event.
