Undertaker vs. Batista - Wrestlemania 23
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2I9DZEk9Io At Wrestlemania 23, World Heavyweight Champion Batista found himself on the wrong side of the Royal Rumble winner's prize, when he was challenged by the 2007 Royal Rumble winner, Undertaker. Undertaker won the Royal Rumble for the first time in 2007, despite being a consistent main eventer since 1991, and would main event Wrestlemania for the first time since Wrestlemania 13. Of course the match would take on more significance than that, because Undertaker was also defending his undefeated streak, which at that point was standing at 14 - 0. The usual format of title matches is that a wrestling match descends into a brawl, but with this match it seemed to do the opposite. The match began as a fist fight but developed into great wrestling. The match really came alive when Undertaker started hitting his signature offense, including his now traditional and spectacular suicide dive. Even though the exchange of finishers at the end of the match is probably a little expected, but always makes for good drama when it comes to the streak. We hadn't yet reached the point where people were kicking out of the Tombstone, so it took just one for Undertaker to win. It was a great match, helped by an enthusiastic crowd, and it was nice to see the Royal Rumble, World title and the streak all come together at the same time.
