Back once again with the fill behaviour, Randy Orton's rematch against new WWE Champion The Miz was a total lost cause after an encouraging first third.

Falling afoul of the lack of faith WWE were showing 'The A-Lister' with their booking, Orton's loss came so directly as a result of CM Punk's interference that Miz' retention felt actively ignored rather than passively acceptable. It tragically got no better for the Champion.
