Ranking EVERY Royal Rumble WWE Championship Match From Worst To Best

9. Diesel Vs Bret Hart - 1995

Royal Rumble
WWE

The best possible start to Diesel's ill-fated WWE Championship reign save for the finish, 'Big Daddy Cool' was established as a the company's new great babyface hope by an inspired quasi-heel assault from 'The Hitman'.

Multiple run-ins from Shawn Michaels, Owen Hart and others resulted in the contest being thrown out, and more's the pity. Not only could Diesel have done with a clean win to kick his tenure atop the company off in style, but so too could the match - it was otherwise of a standard beyond anything else in North America.
