Ranking EVERY Royal Rumble WWE Championship Match From Worst To Best

8. Edge Vs Dolph Ziggler - 2011 (World Championship)

Royal Rumble

An impossibly entertaining spectacle considering the Kelly Kelly/Vickie Guerrero banter battles at ringside and Edge's lesser-remembered late babyface run, the 2011 pay-per-view set a standard in an opener that it took 40 men to top in the evening's battle royal headliner.

Ziggler performed as though he knew it was the night he was finally made, and few would have argued with his assessment after the match. The fact he managed to be stuck in an identical spot - and in an aforementioned match nearly as good - reflected the grim reality of the midcard treadmill.
