Ranking Every TLC Match In WWE History - From Worst To Best
17. The Miz Vs. Jerry Lawler (Raw, Nov 2010)
Again, this meeting wasn’t necessarily terrible—despite what its placement on this list may suggest. But much like our previous entry, I feel like it suffers from taking place on free television as opposed to a PPV, which in turn meant it was lacking the kind of build you might expect of your usual TLC match.
On top of that, it was also the shortest TLC bout in history, clocking in at a little over 11 minutes. I suppose that’s fair enough for a TV match, but when it comes to a high-profile stipulation like this one, I think it’s fair to expect a bit more than that. Oh, and we were also robbed of a fairy-tale conclusion when Michael Cole—a commentator, remember—got involved in the finish.
With tomfoolery like that marring the conclusion, it's difficult to remember this one all that fondly.
Admittedly it was probably better than you’d have expected from the Miz vs. Jerry Lawler on the latter’s 61st birthday, but even so it still doesn’t quite match up to most TLC matches from years gone by.
