Ranking Every UK Title Change In WWE History From Worst To Best

5. William Regal (Intercontinental Title - Raw, 2008)

This is where we break the rules completely. William Regal's victory over Santino Marella on the 10 November 2008 Raw lasted a grand total of 31 seconds. We know, the first seven entries were spent lambasting WWE for five-minute matches. This was no ordinary occasion though. Regal had come home and delivered.

2008 was a marvelous year for Regal. He won the King of the Ring, reinvented himself as a villainous heel, and then bagged the Intercontinental Title in his homeland. As if that wasn't enough, WWE let him stay true to his character and talk up the majesty of UK traditions in a killer post-match promo, all before getting a sneaky remark about Queen Elizabeth in there.

Although the match may have been a squash, it was inspiring to see a British wrestling favourite win a title still considered one of WWE's most prestigious and then address his people.
