Ranking Every Undertaker Championship Win From Worst To Best
4. WWE Undisputed Champion -2003
The Undertaker and Hulk Hogan didn’t make for the best of
championship feuds the first time around. The second attempt, however, did fare
better. This was also coming on the back of the nWo’s WWE run. Hall, Nash and
Hogan were initially expected to serve as that lethal dose of poison killing
the promotion. And then, the Rock-Hogan all-time classic at WrestleMania
happened, where the fans willed Hulkamania back into existence.
The Hulkster then embarked on a classic Hogan run, turning babyface and beating Triple H to win the Undisputed Championship. This led to a tournament for deciding the Immortal One’s next challenger which was won by Mr. Big Evil.
The match itself wasn’t anything extraordinary. It was pretty basic stuff and even held the then-record for worst Chokeslam ever, which of course was subsequently claimed by Goldberg last year. But in terms of sports entertainment drama, it ticked all the boxes. There were finisher kickouts, a Vince interference, and the finish while a bit screwy, still made Hogan look strong (lol) and Taker come across as an even bigger jerk.
