Hell In A Cell may be billed as 'The Devil's Playground' but if we're being honest, it probably should've been nicknamed 'The Deadman's Playground'. A deadly encounter designed to prevent Shawn Michaels from escaping the wrath of The Undertaker at 1997's In Your House: Badd Blood, the event has been synonymous with the legend since its inception. 22 years later, that hasn't changed.

Having competed in 14 of the now 40 Hell In A Cell matches, 'The Phenom' is undoubtedly the steel structure's most prolific performer, amassing himself eight wins in the process. However, the real thing that sets 'Taker's legacy inside the cell apart from anyone else's is the amount of iconic moments he's been responsible for.

Whether it be the stipulation's very first match (the five-star classic between 'Taker and Michaels), 'The Phenom's infamous showdown with Mankind (in which he threw Foley off and through the cell) or his recent rematch with Brock Lesnar (which proved the concept could still be violent in a PG era), it's hard to even think about Hell In A Cell without thinking of The Lord of Darkness.

Hell In A Cell is WWE's most dreaded, deadly and destructive match - one of the many reasons as to why there is an entire PPV devoted to it. Hell In A Cell against The Undertaker, however? Now that's another thing entirely.
