Ranking Every Undertaker Match Type From Worst To Best
9. Coffin Match
The stipulation that spawned a much more famous spin-off, the Coffin Match was a short-lived concept tailor-made for the very early days of The Undertaker's WWE career.
At the time, it certainly complemented his gimmick - allowing 'Taker to be his usual spooky self while intimidating his opponent to a shaking shell of the monster that he once was. Retrospectively, however, its overly complicated stipulations are really quite mind-boggling.
This wasn't just a case of rolling your opponent into the casket and shutting the lid; no, this time you had to actually pin your opponent, roll them into the casket and then - kid you not - nail the lid shut. What would have ended up happening if Kamala fought back into the match after the pinfall? Would 'Taker have had to pin him again, or could he just pick up with the casket malarkey?
Needless to say, there was only one Coffin Match - which took place at Survivor Series 1992 - before it was ultimately replaced by the much more simple Casket Match in 1994.
