6. Brock Lesnar Cashes In His Money In The Bank Contract
Brock Lesnar is the only Superstar to have won the Universal Championship three times. The reason why his third reign was the best of his three runs is that it lasted just 27 days, and it served its purpose. The new champion, Seth Rollins, was struggling to keep his momentum going thanks to the involvement of Baron Corbin in the main event picture. Introducing Lacey Evans and Becky Lynch did not help anyone as the credibility of the crown diminished.
WWE pulled off a masterstroke by giving 'The Beast Incarnate' the Money in the Bank briefcase. Although there was a window to create a new star through that match, Lesnar's return shocked the fans, and his successful cash-in prompted the fans to cheer for Rollins once again.
The fans had started to turn their back on 'The Architect.' However, the great match at SummerSlam forced them to cheer for him and no other Superstar than Lesnar could have performed that job. Plus, of course, the 'Brock Party' gimmick of the 'The Conqueror' amused the wrestling community.
