Ranking Every Universal Championship Title Change From Worst To Best
5. Seth Rollins Opens WrestleMania 35 With A Bang
After Roman Reigns left WWE to fight a battle with leukemia, his Shield brother, Seth Rollins became the top face on Monday night RAW. He had a disastrous rivalry with Dean Ambrose. However, winning the Royal Rumble match changed Rollins' fate. While many fans feared that the return of 'The Big Dog' may tempt the Creative team to take 'The Architect' out of the main event scene, Vince McMahon proved everyone wrong and gave 'The Kingslayer' an opportunity to showcase his talent.
His first reign as the Universal Champion lasted for 98 days before Brock Lesnar cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on him. During that period, 'The Beastslayer' had a good rivalry with AJ Styles. Unfortunately, his momentum derailed when Baron Corbin became the new #1 contender for the title. With the wrestling community losing its interest in Seth, the writers had to bring 'The Conqueror' back once again and give him another reign as champion.
Although Rollins' reign was not so eventful, the title change received an incredible reception from the fans.
