12. WrestleMania V

Far superior to the previous Trump Plaza edition, WrestleMania V's phenomenally booked Hulk Hogan/Randy Savage main event adds buoyancy to the bulky roster that had gone through the motions a year earlier.

As usual, few midcard matches mean much, but the performances betray another year of audience indifference and storyline vacancy. Rick Rude showed flashes of what he could do with The Ultimate Warrior later that year in a choice Intercontinental Title match, The Rockers tore it up with The Twin Towers, Mr Perfect and The Blue Blazer had a tasty technical tussle, whilst The Brain Busters' decimation of Strike Force was as good a match as Tito Santana and Rick Martel ever had together despite it signalling their permanent end.
