7. WrestleMania XIV

The defining moment in WWE's comeback against WCW in the 1990s wrestling war, WrestleMania XIV roared a statement of intent from Vince McMahon that he was ready to finally boot Eric Bischoff out of 'his' throne.

It was, in many ways, WrestleMania 1 for the modern era. Mike Tyson represented an enormous financial and commercial gamble, but one that paid off tenfold in establishing Stone Cold Steve Austin as the man, just as the inaugural 'Show Of Shows' did for Hulk Hogan around the world.

Whilst no match excels beyond itself, almost everything is uniquely excellent. WWE's dynamism and diversity had returned, and the company's 'Grandest Stage' was the perfect location to show that off.
