Ranking EVERY WWE Champion From Worst To Best

31. Bobby Lashley

WWE Champions Ranked
WWE

The less said about Bobby Lashley's second reign as WWE Champion the better. Having won it from Brock Lesnar entirely due to interference from Roman Reigns then celebrated like he was a all-conquering babyface anyway, he dropped it back to 'The Beast' anyway just a month later so Lesnar and Reigns could re-assume their own tepid rivalry as if 'The All-Mighty' had never been near them.

It was an undignified sequel to an overdue maiden reign in 2021, some 14 years after the company had first raced to crown him. Injury in 2007 derailed a monster push, and relations between the two sides soured in 2008 long before he'd even approached his potential. After a ropey restart in 2018, by 2021 he was back alongside TNA/Impact partner MVP and back in the catbird seat.

Crushing The Miz after helping him cash-in on Drew McIntyre the first place, Lashley was given the ultimate vote of confidence by management when he defeated 'The Scottish Warrior' in the WrestleMania 37 opener. It was the first match in front of any kind of audience in over a year, and theoretically McIntyre's time to get redemption for missing all the magic of his own moment the prior year. The wait went on for Drew, but big Bobby held the belt through the final months of The ThunderDome until he suffered karmic retribution via Big E's own Money In The Bank cash-in.
