Loaded with headliners as the first Chamber with the briefly unified WWE World Heavyweight Title on the line, the match was also the final step on the bumpy road to WrestleMania 30, which had seen the company stubbornly avoid including Daniel Bryan in their main event plans.

The beloved crowd favourite in this match too, Bryan entered carrying an injury following an attack from fellow Chamber competitor Christian, and suffered a mid-match beating from The Wyatt Family as they ran-in to attack and eliminate John Cena.

Despite these obstacles, 'The Yes Man' made it to the end alongside Randy Orton, as the two renewed their battles for the World Title that had dominated the latter months of 2013.

Yet again Bryan would be foiled, as Orton's 'Authority' heavy Kane would first pull the referee away from a three-count following a running knee, then cuff the challenger with a cheap shot to direct him straight into an RKO for yet another disappointing Orton victory.

Another deflating triumph for the heels proved the catalyst for Bryan's hostile takeover of Monday Night Raw, that culminated in his insertion into the title picture at the 'Show of Shows'.
