The original and (nearly) the best, Madison Square Garden was gifted a rewarding inaugural outing of the Chamber as Shawn Michaels capped off an unlikely WWE comeback with a World Title victory.

Joining incumbent Champion Triple H, Kane, Chris Jericho, Booker T and Rob Van Dam, it was only 'The Heartbreak Kid's second match back after his incredible display with 'The Game' at August's 'Summerslam' Pay-Per-View.

Seeing off the rest of the chasing pack to renew their conflict, Michaels and Hunter built on their last war with a ten minute finale in the Chamber that saw Triple H return to work on Shawn's injured back.

The finish came when Michaels escaped a Pedigree attempt to nail his former D-Generation-X friend with Sweet Chin Music. It made for an emotional return to WWE's home turf for 'HBK', who had experienced some previously difficult crowds at 'The Mecca' in his original run, most famously when he was booed out of the building in his WWE Title experience against Sycho Sid.

Triple H also deserves a hefty nod of respect for his work, wrestling the entire near-forty minute war, and doing so with a throat injury after taking an RVD knee in the neck from an awkward Frog Splash attempt inside the structure.
