Ranking Every WWE Elimination Chamber Match In History
18. Ryback Vs. Sheamus Vs. Dolph Ziggler Vs. Mark Henry Vs. R-Truth Vs. King Barrett (Elimination Chamber 2015)
If it wasn’t for the fiasco of December to Dismember, the Intercontinental Championship bout from the 2015 Elimination Chamber show could easily have landed the wooden spoon here.
One of the main stories of the match was that Sheamus had craftily used his trademark pendant to bolt the door of his pod shut. Apparently, though, nobody thought to tell the commentators. After plenty of confusion, JBL and Jerry Lawler completely missed the big reveal of Sheamus' pendant trick, making the whole thing look like a massive botch.
That wasn’t even the worst of it though. Earlier on, King Barrett had inadvertently smashed open Mark Henry’s pod. This forced the big man to enter the match rather sooner than planned as the script was ripped to pieces.
Nobody had a clue where they should be, who to go after or which spots to hit. The match became a series of awkward stand-offs and panicked stares as Ryback, Henry, R-Truth, and Dolph Ziggler tried desperately to stitch together something resembling a story.
Admittedly this wasn’t necessarily anyone’s fault, but that didn’t stop the action from breaking down into an absolute shambles.
