If WWE's traditional booking style is upheld for 2019's King Of The Ring, then big, bad Rowan will interfere and cost Buddy Murphy his shot at glory like he did at SummerSlam. Buddy's involvement in the ongoing Roman Reigns melodrama is expected to be fleeting, so he'd profit from a morale-boosting win in the opening round.

Sadly, he's unlikely to get it. Murphy does have a chance to capitalise on the Reigns saga by transitioning into another storyline that shows his zest for performing, but he's not exactly going to spring a surprise and become the next King.

Sorry, Buddy.
