Ranking Every WWE NXT WarGames Match From Worst To Best

3. The Undisputed Era vs Team Ciampa (2019)

Perhaps the biggest collection of stars NXT’s WarGames has offered to date, the men’s 2019 edition is packed with intrigue going in. The wily Undisputed Era are here for the third time in a row, and it’s down to the amped up Tomasso Ciampa and co to take them down. Ciampa has with him ringers Keith Lee and Dominik Dijakovic, but the fourth man is nowhere to be seen.

Just as all appears lost, Kevin Owens’ music hits, and the former Universal Champ strides to the ring to the elation of the Chicago crowd. Owens was always booked like a true bruiser on the black and gold, and he lays waste to UE in short order.

It’s one of the most brutal WarGames the brand put on; Strong and O’Reilly both take big table bumps, there’s a Panama Sunrise on the metal between the rings, avalanche Olympic Slams, and for dessert, an Air Raid Crash on Cole from way up high, which looks absolutely grizzly and brings the match to a fitting ending.

Utterly bonkers but with its own internal logic and not too many ridiculous kick outs, this is a breathless bit of action that never lets up. A glorious cameo from a star of old and the right result after a madcap spot - it’s a proper crowd pleaser.
