This is perhaps where things start to get good. Really, really good.

Bayley's big moment is obviously the core highlight of a memorable women's Rumble in 2024. People were chuffed to see the ex-Hugger break out of her heel mould in Damage CTRL to roar back into babyface view and nail down a title match vs. IYO SKY at WrestleMania XL. That wasn't concrete when she won the Rumble, but come on now - everyone knew where WWE wanted to go.

Seeing TNA's Jordynne Grace felt notable, as did Jade Cargill making her in-ring debut for the company after months of teasing in backstage skits. Meanwhile, Liv Morgan suffered more Royal Rumble misery by entering as #30 but being the final one eliminated from contention. On the negative side, Natalya and Naomi (who admittedly improved across an impressive hour-long stint) were maybe the most unexciting #1 and #2 punch ever.

It's easy for people to look favourably at more recent Rumbles because they're fresh in the memory. However, it'd also be cheap to discount how good recent matches are just because they haven't had time to settle for years. The 2024 women's Rumble was a fine entry with a popular finish.
