2. The Undertaker Vs Batista (2007)

27 Goldberg Brock Lesnar Survivor Series
WWE

A fitting farewell to 2007's feud of the year, the Undertaker/Batista Hell In A Cell match paid extraordinary tribute to every other superlative scuffle they'd had that year - and fed into 'The Deadman's next major programme.

Ruined by Edge's interference - to ensure that Batista's win could be disputed if and when the company went back to the story - The Undertaker's toughness wasn't measured by the result but by his resilience in the aftermath. Having paid the price in this caged contest, he'd claim Edge's World Heavyweight Title in a magnificent WrestleMania 24 match after going coast-to-coast in the SmackDown's Elimination Chamber with...Dave Batista.
