Ranking Every WWE Title Change On Raw From Worst To Best
3. Kane Vs Stone Cold Steve Austin (June 29, 1998)
Few minded the contrivances of the Attitude Era because the programming was so devilishly entertaining, and it's perhaps no more evident that in this hastily-arranged Raw rematch that followed Kane defeating Stone Cold Steve Austin for the WWE Championship 24 hours earlier.
Why did they have to go to the trouble of booking this in the first place? Well, because Kane said he'd set himself on fire if he lost the first match. The company couldn't deliver that (not that they should have promoted it!), but they could switch the pieces briefly just to reset them the next night.
Whole thing's a f*cking blast though. Impossible to hate when the product's that hot.
