Ranking Every WWE Title Change On Raw

10. Kevin Owens Def. Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns And Big Cass (29 August 2016)

Triple H Wwe Title
WWE

The first and (to date) only Universal Title change on Raw came in August 2016, a week after Finn Bálor had vacated the belt as a consequence of the injury he suffered against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam.

It stands out as memorable partly because it was the moment that Kevin Owens - who, up to this point, had been little more than an upper mid-carder - established himself in the main event, just a year after making the step up from NXT.

But we also saw Triple H do the dirty on Seth Rollins, hitting him with a Pedigree just as he was about to snatch victory to set up their WrestleMania feud (albeit one that ended up taking months to actually come back into the spotlight).

The match itself was solid if not exactly spectacular. Big Cass, a surprise fourth wheel after winning a qualifier the previous week, didn't really belong at the top of the card, but he proved he that he has use when paired with the right opponents.
