28. WrestleMania XXIV - Randy Orton Vs. John Cena Vs. Triple H

Another solid not spectacular WrestleMania WWE Title match, and this time it was WWE Champion Randy Orton defending the gold in triple threat action against John Cena and Triple H.

All three competitors here clearly have reputations for at times delivering overly-long, draining contests, but this was thankfully a relatively short match - clocking in at 14 minutes - when compared to some of the 30-minute slogs the trio have been involved in at the Showcase of the Immortals over the years.

A pre-match belt shot from Orton to Hunter was a nice touch, and the bulk of the contest from there on out was the three attempting to hit their signature moves. It was fine, a smidge formulaic, but there was a nice opportunistic finish where Orton punted Triple H and pinned the just-been-Pedigree'd Cena for the win.

Considering this was 'just' good not great, the three-way was easily overshadowed by 'Mania XXIV's other big matches - those being Shawn Michaels retiring Ric Flair, and the Undertaker toppling Edge in a bangin' bout to become World Heavyweight Champion.
