Of course, WrestleMania 38 saw WWE Champion Brock Lesnar clash with Universal Champion Roman Reigns in a much-hyped winner takes all affair. So hyped was this contest, the WWE marketing machine promoted the bout as being the biggest match in WrestleMania history.

This was the eighth time that Lesnar and Reigns had clashed on PPV, and it was likewise the third WrestleMania to be headlined by the pair. As such, there was a sense of 'been there, done it' to the action as the two traded heavy blows and signature spots in this 12-minute offering.

The match itself was fine, was solid, and was nicely executed, but there was no real sense of genuine drama - with the majority of fans rightly predicting a Roman victory - and there was nothing here that made the bout stand tall over the previous battles between the Beast Incarnate and the Tribal Chief. This was good not great, solid not spectacular.
