Before you start moaning and stating that SummerSlam 1992 should be number one, let's just look at this card. Triple H vs. Dude Love. Owen Hart vs. Vader. Bret Hart vs. The Undertaker. Shawn Michaels vs. The British Bulldog. Those four matches alone are enough to leave any wrestling fan salivating. There were other matches on the card, which are mostly good, but the aforementioned four are the reason why this should be number one.

Triple H vs. Dude Love was a damn fine match and one of the most underrated encounters in their epic rivalry. The same goes for Owen Hart and Vader, who pulled off a great big man/little man match, which was easily the best thing Vader did in his entire WWE run.

The WWE Championship match between Bret Hart and The Undertaker is an undervalued classic that lasts for 28 minutes. These two had fantastic chemistry with each other and could consistently alter their matches without anything feeling too repetitive. Compared to their war at SummerSlam '97, this was a much more physical affair that Bret won via disqualification.

The main event was Shawn Michaels' crowning moment as a heel in 1997. Fighting Davey Boy Smith for the European title in front of a frenzied English crowd, HBK resorts to every dirty trick in his playbook to defeat the Bulldog and annoy the crowd. After Bulldog passed out due to the pain of a Figure Four Leg Lock, Michaels and the rest of DX gloated and mocked the crowd in Birmingham who, in return, pelted the ring with litter. It was an incredible sight and came to define the term 'crowd heat'.

This PPV wasn't available in the United States which was a shame as the American fans missed out on a great show, and the best that WWE have ever put on in Britain. Seek it out as soon as possible.
