Ranking Every WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match Ever

1. Randy Orton vs Batista vs Daniel Bryan - WWE WrestleMania XXX

Perhaps not the most surprising choice for top spot, this match on April 6th 2014, at the biggest WrestleMania in WWE history, cemented Daniel Bryan€™s place as a true superstar of this generation. The hype surrounding the bout was huge and the hero Daniel Bryan held his own against two industry veterans in Orton and Batista. The match had it all €“ false finishes, interference, a HUGE table spot, and even a bump for Stephanie McMahon! It showed the incredible psychology and ring prowess of the three competitors when such a foregone conclusion of a match result does not affect the crowd in the slightest. This kind of emotional investment was something that The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar simply could not match earlier in the night. This match not only cemented D.B.€™s legacy, but also the WWE World Heavyweight Championship€™s. On that night, it really did seem like the biggest prize in the business. The match signified a new direction for the company: one where the champion was the undisputed best wrestler in the company.
