2. John Cena vs Brock Lesnar - WWE SummerSlam 2014
Fresh off his stunning victory over The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX, Brock Lesnar set his sights on the WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena. Aided by some incredible promo work by Paul Heyman, the Beast Incarnate walked into SummerSlam looking unstoppable; when he left later that night, hed proven that he was. John Cena, the golden boy and undisputed face of the WWE, had been humbled. As Lesnar held his new prize aloft after the match, Cena lay in a crumpled heap on the mat, a victim of three brutal F5s and sixteen sickening suplexes. The story they told began as most other Cena matches do: with the champ on the back foot, looking for an opportunity to begin his comeback and hit his fabled 5 Moves of Doom. But it became clear as the match wore on that there were would be no comeback, and Lesnar punished Cena for a very uncomfortable sixteen minutes before putting him away. Never before has WWE presented such a one-sided World championship match, and they likely never will again. It was truly a once-in-a-generation type of match, and one that added a refreshing alteration to the landscape of WWEs main event scene. For that reason, this gets the number two spot.
