Is Kane's World Heavyweight Championship run in 2010 one of the greatest forgotten title reigns? This writer certainly thinks so. The Big Red Machine was the first to win the briefcase at the eponymous pay-per-view, and also the first to cash it in that very night when he did so against Rey Mysterio, who had just retained the title over Jack Swagger.

Kane went on to hold the title for 154 days, the majority of which were spent feuding with his storyline brother, The Undertaker. Kane's summer was spent trying to discover the man who had put his bro in a vegetative state, with little Rey being accused at one point. Of course, Kane himself turned out to be the assailant, and the brothers embarked on a feud that truly established Kane as champion.

Kane defeated Undertaker three straight times that summer, and whilst they may not have been dictionary definition clean wins not many can say they have managed to do that. He also defended his title against Rey Mysterio and Edge, before losing it to the latter in a 4-way TLC match that also included Rey and Alberto Del Rio.

This was arguably Kane's last major hurrah as a singles competitor, and it should be remembered fondly.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man.
