15. Triple H Vs Batista (WrestleMania 21)

Triple H couldn't have done more to get Batista over as a company figurehead during their 2004-2005 Evolution severance, but 'The Game's insistence on a certain main event style almost resulted in the 'The Animal' falling at the final hurdle.

Whilst far, far to superior to his aforementioned show-closing clangers, Hunter's laborious period of domination during the contest dulls the white hot intensity Batista employed so well on his meteoric rise. More even-handed than it had any right to be, the bout was in fact tacitly laying foundations for a substantially longer (and financially fruitful) programme, rather than anointing a new headliner in one foul swoop.

Admirable, but not really the all-action explosion expected.
