At WrestleMania XXVIII, Kane and Randy Orton faced an unenviable task - they had to go on immediately after Sheamus beat Daniel Bryan for the World Heavyweight Title in 18 seconds, meaning that the crowd was angry and in no mood for more cr*p.

The match was about as slow as a bout between Kane and Orton could be expected, and for the first several minutes of the contest, it was clear that the fans were more interested in lamenting the fate of Bryan than in what was happening in from of them. Still, both men were able to work their way up to something watchable, and by the end - well, it wasn't good, but it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

The finish arrived when both guys battled their way up to the second turnbuckle. Randy Orton tried to hit an RKO from up high, but Kane blocked it, then planted Orton in the center of the ring with a diving Chokeslam to score a decisive three count.
