1. Seth Rollins

Though his ongoing face run may not be having the impact that the company perhaps would've hoped, Seth Rollins five year spell on the main roster has been marked by success after success. The massive and immediate impact of The Shield certainly helped proceedings as he, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns were rapidly established as main eventers. All three have now held the WWE Championship, with Rollins the only one to have also held NXT gold.

After bowing out with two epic matches against the reformed Evolution, all three members of The Shield were given strong individual pushes. Rollins was the most immediate beneficiary, as his heel turn and alliance with The Authority saw him win the Money In The Bank briefcase and memorably cash it in during Brock Lesnar and Reigns' Wrestlemania 31 match.

His lengthy run with the title would've perhaps been much longer, had he not picked up an injury that kept him out for six months. His subsequent return after recovery was then booked somewhat poorly, but led to a long programme with Triple H that culminated in their Wrestlemania 33 encounter.

Now back together with Ambrose as tag team champions, Rollins is out of the main event picture for the first time in a while. Having thrived in it for most of his main roster existence, however, he stands tall as NXT's biggest success story.
