Ranking The Success Of Every WWE Star To Debut In The Crowd At NXT TakeOver

Matt Riddle coming to NXT was wrestling's worst kept secret in the summer of 2018. After rumors ran rampant in early August that he was WWE bound, it was only academic that he'd arrive at TakeOver: Brooklyn IV later that month.

Sure enough, he popped up in the audience halfway through the show and elicited a loud "Bro!" chant from the crowd. He looked absolutely ecstatic to be announced as NXT's newest recruit, and rightfully so based off how the black-and-gold brand treats stars of his caliber.

Riddle made his official in-ring debut for NXT in October and had no trouble living up to the hype. He called out Kassius Ohno soon after, and at TakeOver: WarGames II, he beat the seasoned grappler within seconds. In the months since then, he has stacked up several impressive victories over Adam Cole and Roderick Strong and has become one of NXT's most beloved babyfaces.

It's been less than a year since he signed with NXT and already he's off to a strong start. Here's hoping he's down in developmental long enough to become NXT champion and be given the opportunity to carry the brand on his shoulders.

The sky is the limit for The Original Bro if he can stay the course.
