Ranking Top 10 WCW Main Eventers In WWE

10. Diamond Dallas Page

To this day, DDP's run in WWE remains notoriously bad. It was such obliviously awful booking, that it seemed like Vince McMahon had a personal vendetta against WCW, and Page was the chosen one to suffer his wrath. It felt like he'd rather throw away a ton of cash than have a former WCW Heavyweight Champion pin even his lowliest talent.

In WCW, Page was one of the company's most popular babyfaces and highest merchandise sellers. He cooled off a bit his last couple years, but was still a well-known name who could go in the ring. Instead of giving us People's Champ vs. People's Champ with Rock vs. Page, we were given a heel Page as a stalker who dug through The Undertaker's wife underwear drawer. Well, that's one way of telling a wrestling story.

Page was embarrassed and humiliated within weeks. It's rumored that The Undertaker didn't respect DDP's wrestling style, who is known for meticulously plotting out his matches beforehand. Perhaps because of this, he didn't let the WCW guy get any offense in on him. Whenever they brawled, it was one sided to the point of being ridiculous. It was like Brock Lesnar vs. Heath Slater, instead of two mainstays facing off. A top Turner guy clearly wasn't in the league of a McMahon guy.

In the end, Page suffered through a few injuries, was pinned by The Undertaker's wife, and took on a bizarre motivational speaker gimmick where he liked to show off his incredibly white teeth. It would be hard to book a worse run if you tried.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
