Ranking Triple H's 19 WrestleMania Matches - From Worst To Best
6. Triple H Vs. The Rock Vs. Mick Foley Vs. Big Show (WrestleMania 2000)
To say WrestleMania 2000 was a disappointment would be an understatement of massive proportions. The show, emanating from the Anaheim Pond, occurred during the most critically acclaimed year in WWE history but featured too many matches and too many Superstars to guarantee the quality necessary to produce a great show from start to finish. That does not mean the show was without its strengths. The Triangle Ladder match for the Tag Team Championships stole the show while Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho wrestled a match as good as one would expect from those three exemplary performers. But the show was sold on the night's main event, a Four Corners Elimination Match pitting WWE Champion Triple H against three top contenders in The Big Show, The Rock and Mick Foley. With a McMahon family member supporting each wrestler, the drama was at a fever pitch. Meshing so many different styles together to deliver a quality main event would be difficult, but the Superstars involved did just that. The majority of the bout was comprised of brawling, with the action frequently spilling to the arena floor. It was not until after Triple H and The Rock eliminated Show and Foley that things settled down and became a much better match than it had been to that point. The two iconic Superstars waged a one-on-one war, the way it should have been from the beginning. A piledriver onto the ring stars did not put The Rock away, but the shocking betrayal by Vince McMahon that saw the CEO of WWE blast Rock with a chair did. On that night, Triple H became the first heel to ever leave WrestleMania with the WWE Championship, etching his name in the history books and delivering his best performance on the grand stage to date.
