When ROH wasn't as hot as it was in its peak, a cruel wrestling fandom devised a name for the technically sound and indulgent boots and trunkers: 'ROHBots'.

Homicide, a folk hero during said peak, was not a boots and trunker. He brought a different strain of legitimacy to the promotion that most aspired towards it: he was a hard and real performer whose work was all the more powerful the rougher it looked.

In the doldrums age of oppressive butt-rock, Homicide was smart enough to embody the edge of hip-hop to get over as a total badass.
