Ranking What Was Really The Best Wrestling Attire Every Year 1990-2021

9. 2013 - The Shield

With the turtlenecks out of the way after Survivor Series - and without the plastic literal shield props that, mercifully, never made it past the drawing board - the Shield arrived as a disturbance so awesome it was felt that WWE had finally embraced something resembling a new future.

The Shield were presented impeccably and worked to that standard: entering the WWE arena as unwanted interlopers, they didn't wear boots and trunks because they did not belong. They distinguished themselves - in character - by donning riot gear visually linked to their M.O. as purveyors of justice.

The last great WWE trademark creation, it's almost understandable why they wouldn't let Roman Reigns out of the fit.
