The Cleaner persona is so powerful that it has become synonymous with the greatest work of wrestling's greatest ever performer - but really, it was mostly an aesthetic, one that he had virtually abandoned as he became a heavyweight in his seminal 2017.

Omega looked like such a superstar in the early days of his Bullet Club run that this is effectively a Mandela Effect phenomenon. He wore a Terminator look at Wrestle Kingdom 11, and didn't wear the shades ahead of his New Japan Cup matches nor during the inaugural United States Title tournament.

A composite of retro cool, Cobra as an ice-cold video game supervillain, Omega looked like a man who could control the world to his liking before he actually did.
