Ranking What Was Really The Best Wrestling Debut Every Year 1990-2021

3. 2019 - Jon Moxley

Jon Moxley
Ricky Havlik/AEW

There are only two possible options here: Jon Moxley or Jon Moxley.

Jon Moxley's New Japan debut was perfect. Drawing blood from Juice Robinson's face with his teeth, he debuted a sick new variation of his finish seconds after putting Juice over by allowing him to kick out of the original.

His AEW debut was also perfect. In a sublime visual, after breathing in the air of freedom to put the company over as an expressive meritocracy, he literally toppled Kenny Omega from the heights of the wrestling world.

The best kind of 50/50 booking, the occasion of Double Or Nothing just steals one here.
