Ranking What Was Really The Best Wrestling Entrance Theme Every Year 1990-2021

23. 1999 - The Rock

The sting was on-the-nose - Here's the f*cking Rock, guy, cheer for him now! - but it worked spectacularly. The very sound of his voice was enough to make a gigantic arena go f*cking apesh*t.

But the Rock wasn't a gurning cheeseball in happy guy tights - this was a man who only had to inhale to generate a monster pop - and the arrangement itself dialled it back elegantly with a deliberate rhythm that captures his strutting movement and ice-cool disposition to perfection. Half the friggin' thing is an eyes-closed wailing guitar solo in a year in which the guitar solo was dead, but it's The Rock.

He was cooler than fashion.
