Ranking What Was Really The Best Wrestling Entrance Theme Every Year 1990-2021

22. 2000 - Kurt Angle

This was a tremendous entrance theme, though it wasn't quite as tremendous when used on behalf of the bland anachronism that was the Patriot in 1997. But, in the immortal words of the man that immortalised the theme, "he doesn't count".

This worked for Kurt Angle because it owned his anachronistic quality; this triumphant, 'Murica-feeling theme belonged to the early '90s and knew it. Meanwhile, Kurt Angle, in glorious blowhard form, was bewildered that something so conquering with its ridiculous synthesiser escalation didn't move the idiotic nu-metalheads that littered the bleachers.

With an in-built call-and-response, this theme deepened its own legend, and worked equally as a babyface theme because it truly was olympian in its heft.
