Ranking What Was Really The Best Wrestling Entrance Theme Every Year 1990-2021
17. 2005 - John Cena
The opening sounds like a jeer because it was almost inevitably echoed by one in the stands. Whether you loved John Cena, or thought he was totally lame and transparent goof with interminable patter, that sting heralds the imminent arrival of a superstar.
It was a big time theme that never didn't elicit a reaction, and while the throne of hip-hop was never threatened by Cena's thoroughly adequate bars, it was impressive that he had two talents. Well, one. That STF was so sh*tty that he couldn't be confused for a wrestler.
The Mexican-inspired melody added to the spectacle that, to be fair, was virtually everything he ever did. The theme was the soundtrack to a party or a riot and nothing in between.
